You may be aware that all schools are at a risk of reduced funding from the Government, one of the ways in which funding is allocated to schools is by the number of children eating school lunch on three predetermined dates in the academic year.
In order to maximise the amount of funding we receive, we would like to encourage ALL children to enjoy a Friendship Lunch together next Thursday. On this occasion, the school will order a lunch for all children in receipt of universal free school meals (Reception to year 2) and would encourage other years groups to access school on this day also.
As we focus on our three school rules, we will be celebrating friendship during the school week. On Thursday staff will eat their lunch with the children and use this time to talk about respect and kindness.
Additionally, all staff and children are invited to wear non-school uniform to school.
