Today during English, year 3 started a unit on poetry. By the end of the unit we are aiming to write a poem ourselves with a similar structure to the one we have been looking at. As part of this we are going to be using three items that are special to us to inspire our writing. We are asking that the children bring either the items or a photo of them in to school on Wednesday. This could be anything that is special to each child. It may include a photo of a special occasion, a treasured object or a favourite book from home.
I am excited to see what we come up with.
