In the coming weeks in Y6, we will be learning and completing our Relationships and Sex education lessons. 

The Relationships Education, RSE, and Health Education (England) Regulations 2019 have made Relationships Education compulsory in all primary schools, however there are areas of the curriculum that parents have the Right to Withdraw their children from. These lessons include conception, pregnancy and birth. 

If you would like to withdraw your child, before granting any such request both the head teacher and myself would discuss the request with parents and, as appropriate, with the child to ensure that their wishes are understood and to clarify the
nature and purpose of the curriculum.
