This Week Year 1 have been really enjoying seeing who can win the most house points and have had a great week of learning. 

We focused on learning how many days are in a week and how many months are in a year in Maths, through practising songs to help us remember these. 

In English we continued our book 'Ruby's Worry' and then looked at the story 'Ravi's Roar' by the same author, thinking about different emotions and how these might be represented by different colours. We also created mini booklets to tell someone what they would do if they were worried, which some of the children are holding up in the picture. 

For our Curriculum focus this week we have been learning about our senses in Science, using our sense of smell to identify mystery objects as well as using our ears to work out what mystery sounds we could hear.
